Darlene's passion growing up was sports, which ultimately inspired her to become a Physical Therapist. She went on to receive a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy with Distinction from California State University, Northridge, in 1998, and has been practicing ever since.
Her career began at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles. She worked in all areas of the hospital, including the outpatient department.
This experience gave her a diverse background in treatment skills for acute illnesses to chronic injuries and from pediatric through geriatric populations. Realizing she was most driven to care for patients with orthopedic and sports injuries, Darlene has focused on expanding her knowledge and skills in this concentration at a private Los Angeles practice for the past 7 years. She is a nationally recognized Orthopedic Certified Specialist, a Certified Pilates Instructor and an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Darlene remains active in sports, completing several half marathons, two full marathons and a triathlon. Her athleticism, along with a perennial education in movement science, continue to enable an understanding of an athlete's and non athlete regular person's needs, all while providing the best care possible for injuries they may sustain.
Some passions never die.
